Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in the area of steelfixing in the building and construction industry.

Occupational titles include steelfixer.



This qualification provides a trade outcome in steelfixing in the construction industry.


Packaging Rules:
To achieve this qualification, the candidate must demonstrate competency in 17 units of competency. This is comprised of 14 core units and 3 elective units.

A maximum of one of the three required elective units may be substituted by selecting relevant units of competency from any Certificate III or IV construction qualification or qualification in another endorsed Training Package.

Some units in this qualification may have prerequisite requirements, which must be met when packaging the qualification.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual's relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and life learning).
