EWPA Yellow Card Course

Course Description

The Work health and Safety Act 2011 requires employers to provide information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees at work. This course is designed by the Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia Inc (EWPA) to help the industry comply with the Act and provide proof that the operator has been trained in the safe use of an elevating work platform (EWP).

Training and assessment is provided by EWPA accredited trainers. This course is held in Salisbury however can be held in your workplace (minimum numbers and equipment required). Recognition: The course is recognised by industry and approved by the EWPA (see www.ewpa.com.au). This course does not meet nationally recognised competency standards within the Australian Qualifications Framework. However, it may provide some evidence towards nationally accredited units of competency.
The Elevated Work Platforms classes trained are Self Propelled Scissor Lift and Self Propelled Boom Lift. Note that operators of Boom type lifts 11m or greater must have a High Risk Work Licence class WP (see ).
